Introduction
The issue of sustainability is now ‘front and centre’ in fashion, clothing and textiles. Tackling climate change, waste and social issues are now important agenda items for policymakers, consumers, business and academia in the sector. How to accelerate sustainability is an evolving conversation amongst thought leaders and practitioners. This workshop has been organised to present, highlight and discuss the ‘state of the art’ and future issues related to sustainability in the sector and will include presentations from the editors and contributors from a new book Accelerating Sustainability in Fashion, Clothing and Textiles. In addition, the event will include roundtable discussions covering key topics highlighted in the book and provide excellent networking opportunities.
