Advancements in Circular Cricket Gear
Advancements in Circular Cricket Gear project (ACCG) will complete reports and disseminate information related to the potential application to cricket gear of renewable, recycled materials and components sourced/produced within the UK/ near European countries and explore design for repair and refurbishments, and new circular business models.
Background
Advancements in Circular Cricket Gear project (ACCG) is a project that aims to identify what renewable, recycled materials and components can be sourced/produced within the UK/near European countries to increase circularity and reduce embedded carbon in value chains. ACCG has ongoing cooperation with Lord Taverners to organise workshops to explore design for repair and refurbishment, and new circular business models based on existing gear. Research and experimentation will be completed on locally grown, waste and recycled materials to be used in development of prototype cricket pads substituting existing high impact materials.
ACCG is funded by UKRI via University for the Creative Arts, AHRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA).
