Introduction

Professor Martin Charter from The Centre for Sustainable Design ® at the University for the Creative Arts and Chair of Farnham Repair Cafe – and a past player for Wrecclesham, Farnham, Bourne and Brook amongst other clubs – will present and discuss free downloadable tools, resources and guidance available to help clubs set up their own cricket gear reuse schemes. 

The webinar will cover:

• The Why, What and How of cricket gear reuse schemes
• Overview of the local pilot projects with Rowledge CC and Frensham CC, and with Spencer CC in Wandsworth with support from the Surrey Cricket Foundation
• Lessons from other cricket gear initiatives organsied by Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and Gloucestershire County Cricket Club
• Downloadable tools and resources that will help your club set up a cricket gear reuse scheme
• Lord’s Taverners Sports Kit Recycling Scheme and how to arrange collections of gear if needed
• Q & A

The webinar will be recorded to provide a resource you can return to and to help other clubs develop their own cricket gear reuse schemes.

Cricket Gear Reuse

Cricket Gear Reuse (CGR) is a project that aims to catalyse and support the acceleration of cricket gear and clothing reuse projects and behaviour. CGR is funded by UKRI via Strategic Priorities Fund
