Createch: Peer to Peer Networking (P2P) and Knowledge Exchange

Background

Research by The Centre for Sustainable Design® (CfSD) at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) has identified Createch as the fastest growing sub-sector of the UK Creative Industries. This research has also highlighted multiple sustainability challenges for the Creative Industries and Createch specifically (e.g., from energy consumed by generative AI as an example). Currently, peer-to-peer networking and knowledge exchange regarding sustainability and related topics within the UK and international Createch sub-sector is ad hoc and limited.

In Autumn 2023, CfSD (together with Trevor Davis & Associates Ltd) launched a sustainability tool for Createch that combines benchmarking with guidance content. The P2P project is currently building a network around the tool (the tool has over 170 users so far from 17 countries), and the network will provide a sound starting point to improve knowledge exchange between Createch Founders, CEOs, CTOs and other leaders.

Createch P2P and KE projects are funded by UKRI via University for the Creative Arts, AHRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA).
