Background

In 2023, The Centre for Sustainable Design ® (CfSD) launched a web-based self-
help tool for Createch founders, CEOs and CTOs to help them benchmark their
sustainability maturity and devise actions plans at no cost to the user.

The tool provides:

• Actionable guidance written by experts on Createch and Sustainability
• Difficult to locate educational information all in one place
• Links to valuable and relevant external content such as funding and
• networking events
• A way to measure progress in improving sustainability maturity

The tool currently has over 500 users in more than 20 countries. Now, The Centre for
Sustainable Design ® (CfSD) intends to facilitate P2P collaborative learning and
exchange as a means of integrating sustainability deeply into the Createch sector.

CfSD Sustainability Maturity Tool

The CfSD Sustainability Maturity Tool is a free, online resource designed to help
Createch companies benchmark their sustainability practices and develop actionable
improvement plans. The tool addresses the sector’s low sustainability maturity and
growing energy demands from technologies like AI and blockchain.
The tool provides a benchmarking questionnaire based on the CfSD Sustainability
Maturity Profile. Based on the benchmark results, the tool offers tailored self-help
guidance for founders, CEOs, and CTOs to help them integrate sustainability into
their activities. The tool also It offers tailored extensive expert information on key
sustainability topics and links to complementary resources.
