Desert expeditions require respect and responsibility, passion and persistence, cooperation and collaboration, creativity and innovation, management and leadership - mandatory skills needed for 21st century journeys towards sustainability.
Andrew Harper FRGS - Explorer, Environmentalist and Entrepreneur - will present lessons for Eco-innovators & Eco-entrepreneurs based on experience from his expeditions.
Andrew is the Founder & Managing Director of Australian Desert Expeditions (ADE) - a Not For Profit registered - environmental organisation conducting ecological and scientific surveys in the remote areas of arid Australia.
Andrew's Desert Expeditions are rated by National Geographical Magazine as one of the ‘25 Greatest Expeditions in the World’.
The Creative Challenge & FUSION invites you to meet Andrew on his 2013 UK and US lecture tour and attend his FREE Lecture on the 4th October 2013 in Farnham.
“Andrew Harper is the real mcoy: calm, organised and unflappable in a crisis, he has operated strings of camels - exploring some extraordinarily remote parts of the Australian desert - for more than a decade now. He has a superb ability to navigate hundreds of kilometres cross-country, and pick his way through complicated terrain. His quiet confident handling of his camels is a mark of the man. He is an accomplished public speaker, with a good sense of an audience, a matter-of-fact style and a fine sense of humour. There is not an ounce of self-boosterism about this bloke. He speaks with the self assurance of a man with bucket-loads of experience in operating expeditions in isolated places, relying on his own skill and resources to ensure the safety of his party." Dr Mike Smith, AM FAHA FSA Senior Research Fellow, National Museum of Australia
