Background

The 1st UK Repair Conference on 12th March 2020 highlighted interest in the sharing of knowledge and experience of establishing Repair Cafes for those that are in the process of setting up or are in the early stages of the development. Farnham Repair Café (FRC) have organised 58 sessions in collaboration with The Centre for Sustainable Design (®) (CfSD) at the Business School for the Creative Industries at the University for the Creative Arts , Farnham Town Council and Spire Church. Many lessons have been learnt over the years. Extensive knowledge and experience has been built around Repair Cafes both practically and at a research level locally and internationally: FRC partner CfSD have led or partnered in three surveys of Repair Cafes worldwide; and FRC was the 1st Repair Café to set up as a charity in the UK.

Objective

The webinar will share knowledge, experience and information in the form of technical lessons learnt from completing product repairs.
