Information
Cleantech is often used to describe a broad asset class or types of company for investment purposes. ‘Environmental technology' or ‘clean technology' are more commonly used to describe the actual technologies involved.
2. There is no established definition of what technologies are covered by cleantech. They include environmental technologies whose primary function is to perform a specific environmental service. They may include technologies performing other primary functions but having significant environmental benefits. 3. Not all ‘clean' or environmental technologies are necessarily innovative in the sense of being new technologies. Many have been around for some time without being widely adopted. Market success may nevertheless trigger further innovation. General information BUBL linkSubjects: Include energy consumption and environmental technology.
