Introduction

Join Circular Ocean in Reykjavik this July for our “Innovation Conference” which will gather Circular Ocean partners with members of the academic, creative and business communities to explore the opportunities around re-purposing waste Fishing Nets & Rope (FNR’s) in the Northern Periphery & Arctic Region.

The conference will open on Monday, 17th July with updates from the Circular Ocean partners, followed by a “Serious Game” facilitated by Dr Laurent Bontoux  from the EU Policy Lab with support from Professor Martin Charter from The Centre for Sustainable Design at UCA.

Day Two on Tuesday, 18th July will see Circular Ocean’s second #NetHack Challenge, an innovation workshop designed to develop solutions to a series of challenges surrounding management of FNR’s the builds on a highly successful event held in 2016

Circular Ocean is funded by Northern Periphery & Arctic Programme (European Regional Development Fund) and is being organised between 2015-2018.
